Alpha – FOOH CGI Experience at HungExpo
A 35-second FOOH CGI video for Alpha, created for SiGMA CIS Budapest to turn brand identity into a large-scale inflatable CGI installation integrated into real urban architecture.
A digital brand identity turned into a physical-looking FOOH installation.
Alpha needed bold digital content for SiGMA CIS Budapest – content that could stand out in a crowded event environment and immediately attract attention online.
The goal was to create a powerful FOOH CGI piece that would strengthen brand recognition, feel visually native to social media and make the Alpha identity look physically present in the city.
Lumenstory created a FOOH CGI video where the Alpha logo and brand elements appear as large inflatable objects integrated into real architecture, creating a playful but premium impossible-real effect.
The brand object had to feel inflated, transparent and truly placed in the real square.
The main technical challenge was creating a believable inflation simulation for a large transparent Alpha logo while keeping the object visually tied to the real environment.
The CGI had to match the camera perspective, architectural scale, lighting and spatial behavior of the location so the FOOH illusion would not feel pasted on top of the footage.
The content also needed adaptations for desktop, tablet and mobile formats, so the composition had to remain readable across different screen ratios and social media use cases.
The Alpha identity materialized as a giant inflatable object in the city.
The concept was built around making the brand feel alive and physically present. Instead of placing a logo in the frame, the team turned Alpha’s identity into a large transparent CGI structure that inflates directly in the urban space.
The key wow moment was the transparent ALPHA logo inflating in the center of the square while red branded elements moved around it, creating the feeling of a live impossible installation.
Supporting visuals
Final frames, transparent Alpha logo inflation, red brand elements, camera-tracking moments, compositing references and optional social-format previews.

- Final platform adaptations
A fast FOOH pipeline built around simulation realism, brand readability and social-format delivery.
Storyboard
The brand-object appearance, inflation moment and main social-media beats were mapped first.
Animatic
Timing, scale and composition were tested before final simulation and rendering.
CGI Production
The transparent logo, red internal elements and supporting branded objects were created.
Tracking & Compositing
The CGI was matched to the real perspective, lighting and architecture of the scene.
Final Adaptations
The final video was adapted for desktop, tablet, mobile and social media distribution.
The technical core was making a transparent inflated logo feel physically present in the real location.
The hardest part was creating a believable inflation simulation for a large transparent logo while keeping its material depth, internal red elements and light behavior visually convincing.
Camera tracking and matchmoving were used to connect the CGI object to the real architectural environment, scale and perspective of the location.
The composition had to stay readable in several output formats, so key brand elements were positioned to survive cropping and device-specific viewing.
The production used Cinema 4D, Houdini for inflation simulation, Redshift, After Effects, camera tracking, matchmoving, compositing and a VFX pipeline.
Fast previews and early approval of key scenes reduced render-stage risk.

The project included about 2–3 revision rounds. Risks were controlled through quick previews, test animatics and early approval of the key visual scenes before final rendering.
“Lumenstory transformed our identity into something bigger than a brand visual. The CGI content looked bold, large-scale and organically integrated into real space.”
Alpha’s brand communication became a visible digital experience for event and social media use.
The project helped Alpha turn its event communication into a visually strong FOOH CGI experience designed to attract attention and support social media distribution.
The transparent inflated logo and red branded elements created a recognizable visual system that clearly connected the CGI spectacle with the Alpha identity.
The project was approved, launched and led to continued collaboration and repeat projects.
The main goal was achieved: the content stopped attention, carried the brand clearly and created the kind of visual effect people want to share online.
